Avalonia Enterprise

Direct support from the
engineers who build Avalonia.

A private help desk, contracted response times, emergency hot patches and long-term support releases. From €21,000 a year, including three developer seats.

When it pays for itself

Five situations
Enterprise is built for.

The framework is free and stays free. Enterprise is for the weeks when Avalonia itself becomes the thing between your team and a release.

If one of these is your week, the agreement pays for itself the first time you use it.

1

A senior developer has lost a week to framework behaviour.

Open a ticket on the private help desk and it reaches the engineers who wrote that code, with a contracted response time. If a release is blocked, it escalates to Avalonia’s executive team.

2

You are about to make an architecture choice you cannot easily reverse.

Quarterly technical reviews put Avalonia engineers in the room before your team commits to a platform, a rendering approach or an upgrade plan.

3

An upgrade is competing with feature work.

Avalonia 12.0 is the current LTS release, with five years of security updates and critical fixes backported. Move when your roadmap allows.

4

A second team is adopting the same stack.

One agreement covers the organisation. Add seats as teams join, and every seat gets the same tools, support, source code and air-gapped activation.

5

The Cyber Resilience Act has landed on your risk register.

Enterprise supplies the component-supplier side of your compliance file: a support contract with the maintainers, direct advisory notifications and LTS security updates.

What is in the agreement

Eight things you get.
Every seat, every year.

Every seat includes everything in Pro: DevTools, Parcel, Hot Reload and the premium UI controls. These eight are what Enterprise adds for every licensed developer. Extended support past the LTS window and hands-on development are scoped separately.

Private help desk

Framework issues go to the engineers who build Avalonia, on every supported platform and on embedded Linux. If a release is blocked, the ticket escalates to Avalonia’s executive team, who resolve it directly or manage it through to resolution.

Contracted response times

An initial response within one EU working day, eight hours for critical issues (three escalations a year), and priority bug fixes. Emergency hot patches ship in the nightly feed first, with the stable release coordinated with you.

Reviews and consultations

A technical check-in every quarter, four video consultations per seat each year, and roadmap access on request. Pull requests from your team get priority attention in review.

Annual architectural audit

One review of your application’s Avalonia architecture each year by Avalonia engineers, with written recommendations before your team commits to a platform, a rendering approach or an upgrade plan.

Long-term support

Avalonia 12.0 is the current LTS release. Every major version, and every fourth minor release after it, is designated LTS, with five years of security updates and critical fixes backported, so staying patched never forces an upgrade onto your roadmap.

Source code

The framework is MIT and its source is public. Enterprise adds the full source for the premium controls, so nothing your product depends on is a black box.

Air-gapped activation

A licence key for the tools and premium components that activates entirely offline. No account sign-in, cloud service or licence server, so a 100% air-gapped network is supported.

IP indemnity, capped

Avalonia defends you against third-party claims that the commercial tools and controls infringe a patent, copyright or trade secret, capped at the fees you paid in the previous twelve months. The MIT framework is outside it.

EU Cyber Resilience Act

If the CRA is on your
risk register, start here.

Reporting obligations have applied since 11 September 2026, and the full requirements apply from 11 December 2027. Compliance stays with you. Enterprise gives your technical file what it needs from a component supplier.

Article 13(5)

Due diligence on the components you integrate

A named steward, a published security policy and per-package SBOMs are free for everyone. Enterprise adds a support contract with the framework’s maintainers that your technical file can cite, and answers to your procurement and security questionnaires.

Annex I, Part II

Security updates for as long as you support your product

Fixes land in the current release for everyone. Enterprise adds LTS releases with five years of security updates and critical fixes backported, so staying patched never forces a major upgrade onto your roadmap.

Article 14

Actively exploited vulnerabilities reported within 24 hours

The public advisory feed is free. Enterprise customers are notified directly when an advisory affects a product they license, and bring the impact assessment to the help desk under a contracted response time.

Article 13(19)

Documentation your technical file can cite

Compliance documentation, security reviews and procurement reviews for the products we manufacture are handled for Enterprise customers, including each product’s support period end date. The public policy and SBOMs are the full extent of what we can provide otherwise.

FAQ

A few things worth knowing.

Clear answers for your team and the people signing off the investment.

Avalonia Enterprise brings developer tools, premium UI controls, engineering support and Long-Term Support into one annual agreement for your organisation. We scope the agreement around your teams and seat requirements. Every licensed Enterprise developer receives the full benefits, and you can add seats as your organisation grows.

Plus equips developers with professional tooling. Pro adds premium UI controls. Enterprise includes everything in Pro, plus source code for premium controls, air-gapped activation, private engineering support, contracted response times, quarterly technical reviews and Long-Term Support. It gives your organisation an ongoing relationship with the team behind Avalonia.

No. The Avalonia framework remains free and open source under the MIT licence. Enterprise is an optional investment in your team’s productivity and your product’s continuity, adding commercial tooling, controls and engineering backing to that open foundation.

The annual base includes three developer seats. Additional seats use volume bands: seats 4–10, 11–25 and 26 onward. Each lower rate applies only to the seats within that band. Every seat receives the same Enterprise benefits. Use the calculator on this page to see your annual total in USD, EUR or GBP, then request a written quote with your name and email.

Support requests go directly to the engineers who build and maintain Avalonia, through a private help desk. If a release is blocked, the ticket escalates to Avalonia’s executive team, who either resolve it directly or manage it through to resolution. Enterprise includes a contracted initial response within one EU working day (eight hours for critical issues) and priority bug fixes. Emergency hot patches for framework defects land in the nightly feed first, and we coordinate the stable release that carries the fix with you. Response commitments cover the initial response; resolution depends on the issue.

Avalonia 12.0 is the current LTS release. Every major version, and every fourth minor release after it, is designated LTS, and each receives five years of security updates, with critical maintenance fixes backported to supported releases. LTS focuses on stability; new features continue in current releases. Extended Support beyond the standard window is available as a separately scoped add-on.

Yes, fully. Enterprise issues a licence key for the tools and premium components that activates entirely offline: no account sign-in, cloud service or licence server, so a 100% air-gapped network is supported. Enterprise also includes full source code for premium controls, giving your engineers visibility into the code they depend on.

Yes. Pull requests and reproducible issues from Enterprise customers get high priority and attention in our reviews. Whether a change is merged still depends on it fitting the framework’s direction and quality bar, the same as any contribution.

Yes, for the commercial software. If a third party claims that the tools or premium controls, as we supplied them, infringe a patent, copyright or trade secret, Avalonia UI defends the claim and covers awarded damages and costs. Liability is capped at the fees you paid in the previous twelve months, and we may also procure the right, modify the software, or refund. It does not cover the MIT framework, code you have modified, or combinations with software we did not supply. The terms are in Schedule 11 and the Master Terms.

Compliance stays with you as the manufacturer of your product; no framework or supplier can carry it for you. What Enterprise supplies is the component-supplier side of your technical file: a support contract with the framework’s maintainers, direct notification when an advisory affects a product you license, LTS releases with five years of security updates, and answers to your procurement and security questionnaires. The framework’s SBOMs, security policy and advisories stay free for everyone.

Enterprise supports your engineers with product support, quarterly technical reviews, architectural guidance and upgrade planning. Application development, migration work, training and dedicated engineering engagements are scoped separately through Professional Services. We can discuss both as part of your rollout.
