Schedule 1D: Avalonia Accelerate Community Licence
Version 1.1, effective as of 5 February 2026
1. Product-Specific Definitions
"Software" refers to Avalonia Accelerate (Community Tier), specifically the Tools component of Avalonia Accelerate. The Community Tier does not include the Components (UI controls and libraries).
"Qualifying Small Organisation" means an entity that meets all of the eligibility criteria set out in Section 3 of this Schedule.
2. Licence Grant
2.1 Grant of Community Licence
Subject to the Licensee meeting and continuing to meet the eligibility criteria in Section 3, Avalonia UI grants to the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free licence to install and use the Tools for the purpose of developing Avalonia-based applications.
2.2 Tools Only
The Community Licence covers the Tools only (IDE extensions, debugging utilities, developer tooling). It does not include the premium UI Components, which require a Business or Enterprise Licence.
2.3 No Distribution of Components
The Licensee may not distribute any premium Components as part of the Community Licence. If the Licensee wishes to use and distribute premium Components in applications, the Licensee must upgrade to a paid licence tier.
3. Eligibility Criteria
3.1 Small Organisation Requirement
The Community Licence is available only to Qualifying Small Organisations. To qualify, the Licensee must meet all of the following criteria:
(a) Revenue Threshold: The Licensee (together with all affiliated entities under common ownership or control) must have had gross annual revenue of less than one million Euros (€1,000,000) (or equivalent in local currency) in the most recent completed fiscal year.
(b) Developer Limit: The Licensee must have no more than five (5) individual developers (whether employees, contractors, or volunteers) who use Avalonia or Avalonia Accelerate in any capacity.
(c) Not a Subsidiary: The Licensee must not be a subsidiary, division, or affiliate of any entity that does not itself qualify as a Qualifying Small Organisation.
3.2 Ongoing Eligibility
The Licensee must continue to meet the eligibility criteria throughout the term of the Community Licence. If the Licensee ceases to qualify at any time (for example, by exceeding the revenue threshold or developer limit), the Licensee must:
(a) Immediately notify Avalonia UI;
(b) Either upgrade to a paid licence tier within thirty (30) days, or cease all use of the Software.
3.3 Eligibility Verification
Avalonia UI may, at any time upon reasonable notice, request that the Licensee provide documentation or a signed attestation confirming continued eligibility. Failure to provide such documentation within thirty (30) days of request shall be deemed a loss of eligibility.
4. Mandatory Telemetry
4.1 Telemetry Requirement
As a condition of the Community Licence, the Licensee agrees that the Software will collect and transmit telemetry data to Avalonia UI. This telemetry is used to understand usage patterns, improve the Software, and verify compliance with the Community Licence eligibility criteria.
4.2 No Opt-Out
Unlike paid licence tiers, the Community Licence does not include the option to disable telemetry. The Licensee acknowledges and accepts this as a condition of the royalty-free licence.
4.3 Data Collected
Telemetry data may include: installation and activation data, feature usage statistics, licence validation data, and aggregate project size and complexity metrics. Avalonia UI does not collect source code, application code, or proprietary business data.
5. Community Forum Support (Best Efforts; No SLA)
5.1 Community Forum Only
Support is provided only via the Avalonia community forum at https://avaloniaui.community, on a best-efforts basis with no response time commitments. The Community Tier does not include email or Customer Portal support.
5.2 Product Support Baseline
Support is provided in accordance with Schedule 3 (Product Support), as modified by this Schedule.
5.3 Upgrade Path
If the Licensee requires direct support via email or the Customer Portal, the Licensee must upgrade to the Enterprise Tier.
6. Licence Restrictions
In addition to the restrictions in Section 4 of the Master Terms:
6.1 Non-Commercial Use Encouraged
While the Community Licence permits use in commercial applications (subject to eligibility criteria), Avalonia UI encourages Community Licensees to upgrade to paid tiers if the Software generates significant commercial value for the Licensee.
6.2 Attribution
The Licensee is encouraged (but not required) to include an attribution to Avalonia UI in applications developed using the Community Licence, for example in an "About" dialog or documentation.
7. Term and Termination
7.1 Ongoing Licence
The Community Licence continues until:
(a) The Licensee ceases to meet the eligibility criteria;
(b) Avalonia UI terminates the Community Licence programme (with reasonable notice);
(c) The Licensee upgrades to a paid licence tier; or
(d) The Licensee terminates by ceasing use and deleting all copies of the Software.
7.2 No Vested Rights
The Licensee acknowledges that the Community Licence is provided as a goodwill offering and that Avalonia UI may modify or discontinue the Community programme at any time with reasonable notice. The Licensee has no vested right to continued free access.
