This milestone achievement would not have been possible without the Loongson team's unwavering dedication and significant technical contributions to the broader .NET ecosystem over the past several years, as well as Avalonia's relentless pursuit of excellence in cross-platform UI development.
A Partnership Built on Mutual Respect and Shared Vision
The Loongson team's journey with .NET began in 2019, long before our formal collaboration. They dedicated countless engineering hours to porting the .NET runtime to their innovative LoongArch architecture, working closely with the Microsoft .NET team to ensure native support was merged into the official .NET codebase. In April 2022, their hard work paid off when .NET officially added LoongArch64 support, making it a first-class citizen in the .NET ecosystem. In April this year, the Loongson team released the .NET 10 runtime and SDK optimized for the LoongArch architecture.
In fact, our collaboration with the Loongson team dates back even further. At the Loongson 3A6000 Product Launch and User Conference on November 28, 2023, Loongson officially recognized Avalonia as an "important framework software" for the LoongArch platform in their keynote presentation, acknowledging our technical leadership in cross-platform UI development. By that time, Avalonia had already completed initial porting to LoongArch and was successfully deployed in real-world transportation industry applications, demonstrating the framework's stability and practicality on domestic hardware.
