Schedule 1C: Avalonia Accelerate Trial Licence
Version 1.0, effective as of 5 February 2026
1. Product-Specific Definitions
"Software" refers to Avalonia Accelerate (Trial), including its Tools and Components, any associated libraries, binaries, and documentation.
"Trial Period" means the period of thirty (30) days from the Effective Date during which the Licensee may evaluate the Software.
2. Licence Grant
2.1 Grant of Trial Licence
Avalonia UI grants to the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited, time-bound licence to install and use the Software solely for internal evaluation purposes during the Trial Period.
2.2 Permitted Uses
The Licensee may:
(a) Install and use the Software on development machines for evaluation and testing;
(b) Develop prototype or proof-of-concept applications to assess the Software's suitability.
2.3 Prohibited Uses
The Licensee may NOT:
(a) Use the Software in any production environment or for any commercial purpose;
(b) Distribute any application incorporating the Software to end-users or third parties;
(c) Use the Software to develop applications for sale, licensing, or external distribution;
(d) Remove, disable, or bypass any trial-period limitations, expiry mechanisms, or watermarks in the Software.
2.4 Automatic Expiration
The Components included in Trial builds are designed to automatically expire or display evaluation notices after the Trial Period. Use of the Software beyond the Trial Period without purchasing a commercial licence is a Material Breach.
3. One Trial per Entity
3.1 Entity-Wide Limitation
The Trial Licence is limited to one trial per legal entity. Multiple employees or contractors of the same entity may share one Trial Licence, but the entity may not obtain multiple trials.
3.2 Previous Licence Holders
If the Licensee (or its predecessor, affiliate, or any entity under common control) has previously held a commercial Avalonia Accelerate licence, the Licensee is not eligible for a new Trial and must purchase a commercial licence.
3.3 Repeat Trials Prohibited
The Licensee may not restart or extend the Trial Period by creating new accounts, using different individuals' credentials, or any other means.
4. Trial Support (Best Efforts; No SLA)
4.1 No SLA or Commitment
Avalonia UI may, at its discretion, provide support to Trial users on a best-efforts basis. Avalonia UI makes no commitment to provide support and no response time commitments apply.
4.2 Support Channels
Support is provided only via the Avalonia community forum at https://avaloniaui.community. The Trial Licence does not include email or Customer Portal support.
4.3 Product Support Baseline
Support is provided in accordance with Schedule 3 (Product Support), as modified by this Schedule.
4.4 No Updates Beyond the Trial Build
The Trial Licence does not include access to Software Updates beyond the initial Trial build or access to source code.
5. Liquidated Damages
5.1 Breach Remedies
If the Licensee breaches the terms of this Trial Licence, including but not limited to:
(a) Distributing applications incorporating the Software during or after the Trial Period without purchasing a commercial licence;
(b) Using the Software in production without a commercial licence; or
(c) Circumventing trial limitations or expiry mechanisms;
the Licensee agrees to pay Avalonia UI liquidated damages of €5,000 per breach, plus an amount equal to the commercial licence fee that would have been payable for the unauthorised use. These liquidated damages represent a genuine pre-estimate of loss.
5.2 Injunctive Relief
In addition to liquidated damages, Avalonia UI reserves the right to seek injunctive relief to prevent ongoing or further breaches.
6. Conversion to Commercial Licence
6.1 Purchase Option
At any time during or after the Trial Period, the Licensee may purchase a commercial licence (Business or Enterprise) to continue using the Software.
6.2 No Transition Assistance
Avalonia UI has no obligation to assist in transitioning from Trial to commercial use, although such assistance may be available at Avalonia UI's discretion.
