We’re a profitable, bootstrapped technology company building solutions trusted by Fortune 500s and enterprise teams every day. Our founders are Microsoft, Xamarin, and GitHub alumni with deep experience delivering developer platforms and serving enterprise customers.

We remain profitable and revenue grew 82 percent in H1 2025, maintaining a strong year-over-year trajectory. Based on current performance, we are on track for a 2025 annual run-rate of approximately €1.2 million. Our customer base spans the EU and US, with Germany contributing a significant share of revenue.

Now we need someone exceptional to own the commercial side of the business.

Why This Role, Why Now?

We sell two things: products and services. Our flagship product, Avalonia XPF, is a drop-in replacement for Windows-only technologies that allows enterprises to move their existing applications to macOS and Linux without rewriting them from scratch. This saves customers months or even years of development time and enables true cross-platform support for mission-critical desktop software.

Our services include long-term support agreements and professional services such as application migrations and custom component development.

Our average deal cycle is 43 days, with typical contract values of €19,475 for XPF licences, €9,909 for support agreements, and €74,420 for development projects.

All leads arrive warm through our inbound-only funnel, powered by adoption of our open-source core, Avalonia. Avalonia is the most-starred UI framework in the .NET ecosystem, and usage has grown 29.2 percent month-over-month in 2025. Our open-source momentum was recently validated by a three million dollar sponsorship agreement, demonstrating the market’s confidence in our technology.

So far, referrals and our thriving community have fuelled growth without a formal sales function. Now systematic scaling demands dedicated commercial leadership to turn this proven inbound engine into predictable, scalable revenue.

Who You Are

You’re not a traditional “Head of Sales.” You’re an owner. You take personal responsibility for results, unblock deals, remove friction, and close revenue. You don’t wait to be told, you drive.

You understand that sales isn’t about pressure; it’s about understanding. You listen, think clearly, and can engage engineers, CTOs, procurement, and legal teams without missing a beat.

Ideally, you have experience at companies like Qt, Microsoft, JetBrains, or similar organisations where you’ve sold to developers. You know the developer ecosystem and the challenges of selling technical platforms to enterprise customers. You’re frustrated with politics and bureaucracy and are ready to build something meaningful yourself.

Your Role

You will take full ownership of revenue generation, leading customer engagements from discovery to contract signature, building quotas and pipeline discipline, shaping pricing, and working directly with the CEO on commercial strategy. You will own forecasting and deal pacing while managing complex enterprise relationships. Once the model validates, you’ll hire and lead the sales team, take ownership of our CRM and commercial tech stack, and drive performance metrics.

Beyond execution, you will identify new market opportunities, build industry partnerships, gather intelligence to inform our product strategy, and represent us at key events with prospects.

Decision Rights & First 90 Days

You will have authority to design quota structures and commission models, implement pipeline instrumentation and reporting systems, hire your first SDR once leading indicators validate the model, and establish pricing guidelines with discount approval workflows. Your first 90 days will focus on validating our sales-assisted model, instrumenting the pipeline for visibility, and establishing repeatable processes that can scale.

What We Expect

You have 5 or more years of B2B software sales or commercial leadership experience, ideally in developer tools, enterprise software, or technical platforms. You have a proven track record closing complex, quota-carrying deals end to end. You bring high commercial intelligence, simplify complex situations, and communicate clearly in writing and speech. You combine strategic thinking with relentless execution and know how to navigate technical audiences and complex organisational buying processes.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: €95,000 - €115,000 annually

  • Commission: €40,000 - €50,000 target annually, with 2x commission at 150% of quota (uncapped)

  • Year 1 Quota Expectation: €800k - €1M based on our current deal velocity and pipeline

  • On-Target Earnings: €135,000 - €165,000

  • Equity: 3-4% founding equity stake with milestone-based vesting acceleration. We'll disclose the full cap table, current valuation and dilution model under NDA at the first interview.

  • Structure: Quarterly reviews to optimise commission model and compensation as we learn what works in the market.
